exercise workshop – simply practicing and discovering for yourself

When:
1 February 2012 13.30 h - 15.30 h

Description

Attention: This workshop is aimed at people who want to describe their procedures or processes in a modern, realistic and specific manner.  This is what we exercise and experience during this workshop. This can only be described as a practical workshop. Doing it and practicing it on your own! This results in pleasure and real satisfaction. It’s also a voyage of discovery because we leave behind all the old customs and practices. Come along and be persuaded.

workshop:  self practice (applying your own procedure or process)

This is a workshop, or ‘training on the job‘ for determining a process coming from your own organisation and where you soon identify the good and bad points embedded in it. If you don’t have an example to hand, we’ll give you a case study for your sector, e.g. business, industry, healthcare, housing, administration, etc.

We initially draw up and practice your process on paper. It’s all about finding out and experiencing how by looking at things differently (“other paradigms” or “other process models”) so that you can suddenly and easily see completely new issues in your organisation. If you want, you can simply sign up during or after the workshop for the free practice version of Modulor. Or you can come along two or three times, with or without your laptop, either to conclude or go further with the issue.

what can I do with it?

Having completed the workshop you are now ready to apply your new way of thinking. You can now visualise your own processes and analyse them efficiently and effectively. In short: Using a process communications diagram, you can analyse a process from your own organisation. You will discover issues that you completely missed when using the normal ‘process photo’ based on traditional process schedules.

we already have process descriptions – what now?

Every organisation has at one time or another analysed its procedures and processes. Often these process descriptions are part of a documented management system. The workshops are not aimed at this. The workshops are mainly about analysing, investigating and optimising processes. A university professor once said that this process model provides the most accurate image of reality. Do we have to believe him? In the workshops we don’t get involved in theoretical discussions. Twelve years of practical experience with modern BPM software with tens of thousands of organisations says enough about the practical usability of the process communication diagram.

the workshops

We limit the number of participants per workshop. This enables us to support every participant in setting up their individual process descriptions. This way we endeavour that everybody can get a picture of at least one process from their organisation using the new method. We believe that proper insight can only be gained through exercise and practice. This old piece of wisdom is still valid today.
